Vegan drinks you really should be drinking…

Veganism is very much on the rise, with various health benefits, environmental issues and general awareness of our human impact, people are now making lifestyle changes in order to improve their own health, well being and impact on nature.

In recent years we have noticed an increase of products and companies either making the switch to Vegan, or producing Vegan products from the get go. With many of us suffering from allergies to dairy this change could not have come sooner.

If you haven’t heard of Panther Milk yet you’re in for a treat. Inspired by Spanish drink Leche de Pantera, Paul Crawford the founder of Panther Milk brought the potent beverage back to Glasgow to share the delicious drink with his fellow Glaswegians. Only a few years later Panther Milk is now 100% vegan, made with a secret blend of specially selected spirits and condensed oat milk.

Panther Milk is available here to buy in a variety of flavours and two different sizes. You can also come by the store and grab a bottle to take away. If you’re after a delicious ready-to-drink cocktail this is the one for you! Panther Milk is also available in a wide selection of bars in Glasgow including Vodka Wodka, Bananamoon, Bucks Bar and Bar 91.

Liquid Oats is the newest Vegan liqueur on the market and one of our absolute favourites! It was created in 2020 by Glaswegian bartenders on Glasgow’s famous Ashton Lane. With only the simplest ingredients including a delicious Speyside whisky, Liquid Oats is light and luxurious with flavour notes of Vanilla and Honey. Although, no bee’s are harmed in the making!

Liquid Oats is perfect in a cocktail, their suggested serve is a delicious vegan White Russian - Liquid Oats, Caffe Borghetti, Oat milk, garnished with a toasted banana. Although the White Russian is my go-to drink, it’s only right to say that Liquid Oats works incredibly well with mixers including Irn Bru (yes, IRN BRU!) or soda, but if you want the real deal try it over ice on it’s own.

If you’re after a delicious dairy free liqueur to enjoy with friends you can purchase a bottle online here.
